Do you have a challenger mentality, stellar communication skills, and a knack for uncovering compelling story angles?   WWLP marketing is looking for a highly skilled AR/PR Manager to change perceptions of Microsoft licensing worldwide.   We need someone who can build strong relationships with the most influential media & analyst groups; someone to drive thought leadership around innovative and simplified licensing; someone to craft and successfully land a new narrative through analysts, press and social media.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead AR/PR and social media for WWLP’s $45 billion business during a time of significant licensing change
  • Drive thought leadership around multiple innovative and simplified licensing initiatives
  • Proactively target and educate top influential media and analysts
  • Craft and land engaging narratives and a unified story via analyst research, earned media and owned content
  • Secure media opportunities and prepare executives for media interviews and speaking engagements
  • Conduct analyst consults and briefings, leveraging Microsoft executive engagement
  • Skillfully handle reactive inquiries to minimize negative exposure
  • Communicate the role of licensing internally across corp AR/PR, product groups, and channel-facing teams
  • Provide strategic guidance to licensing program/product managers and field stakeholders
  • Use social media to amplify WWLP messages and provide valuable feedback on conversations and sentiment
  • Manage the agency team and overall tactical execution of the plan including PR/AR/social budget for WWLP

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing or equivalent with 5-7 years AR/PR management experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft AR/PR communications ecosystem and vendor/agency management experience
  • Familiarity with volume licensing desired
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to creatively solve complex problems
  • Executive presence and impeccable judgement in managing confidential information
  • Proven record in project management, with flawless planning, execution, evaluation and optimization
  • Great cross-group collaboration, people and negotiation skills.   Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
