[JOB POSTING] Director of Analyst Relations, LANDesk Software – South Jordan, UT / USA

The Director of Analyst Relations is a key role on the LANDesk marketing team. This position reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing. This person is responsible for maintaining strong, positive relationships with industry analysts and other influencers to drive awareness of and advocacy for LANDesk and our solutions. This person will work closely with executives, product marketing, product management and the broader marketing team. This is a great opportunity to help build and evolve the analyst relations program at a leading software company.DUTIES:

  • Facilitate analyst briefings and interviews, preparing analyst briefing tours, presentations and documents
  • Oversee budget and drive content and distribution strategy for subscription analyst reports
  • Maintain positive relationships with key industry analysts and other influencers
  • Respond to analyst inquiries and attend briefings, ensuring that deliverables are provided
  • Develop and monitor an analyst report calendar for coverage potential
  • Work with product marketing, customer reference group and market development to secure positive coverage in analyst reports by creatively pitching and packaging angles for analysts
  • Building and leveraging ongoing relationships with key industry analysts at major firms, including Gartner, Forrester, and IDC
  • Develop a robust analyst relationship program that influences the perceptions of top LANDesk analysts
  • Effectively communicate analyst data and highlights to employees, particularly sales
  • Work with Sales to leverage analysts to create opportunities and drive deals
  • Support public relations and marketing with analyst participation in their programs as required
  • Respond to internal requests for data and information
  • Maintain analyst relations budget and negotiate contracts
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Analyst Relations in the technology industry with a strong track record of driving results
  • 10 plus years of experience in Marketing
  • Established relationships with industry analysts
  • Experience with systems management, endpoint security, enterprise mobility and service management offerings preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing, project management and relationship management skills
  • Ability to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines within predetermined resource limits
  • An enthusiastic team player who is proactive, energetic, efficient, resourceful and has a dedication to excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent time management, decision making and organization skills
  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing press relations
  • Experience teaming with field marketing demand generation efforts


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
